COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AFNS) --  Two procurement experts from the Space Force are the first Guardian civilians to graduate from the demanding “Azimuth” aerospace missions training program for early career personnel.Mallory Avila and Aman Zemoy, both acquisition logistics management specialists with the Space Force’s Space Systems Command, graduated in June from the three-week training program held at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. Courtesy of Asia Society In a powerful new iteration of the “Coal + Ice” exhibit, on display at the Asia Society in New York through August 11, the immersive works of over 30 photographers highlight the causes and consequences of climate change through a people-focused lens. The show asks viewers to stare directly and unflinchingly at our changing global landscape and to reflect on how we got here. Through an interactive photographic arc, the exhibit offers a humanistic narrative of the history of climate change, beginning with portraits of coal miners, such as the one by Geng Yunsheng shown below. Saturn to Reach Opposition Aug. 14 – NASA Blogs

Saturn will have one of its best viewing opportunities of the year in the period surrounding Sunday, Aug. 14. Or it would, if the nearly Full Moon doesn’t spoil our fun. On that date, Saturn will reach opposition – the point where it lies directly opposite the Sun in our night sky – around midnight local time for most stargazers, with the constellation Capricornus behind it. Saturn will be visible for much of the night, rising above the southeastern horizon and lingering high in the southern sky. This will occur during Saturn’s perigee – its closest approach to Earth – making it even larger and brighter than usual.
