Everything Coming to ‘Star Wars’ In 2025

Happy New Year! We have left 2024 behind, and now it’s time to focus on 2025, a year that will bring a lot of Star Wars content (though perhaps not as much as recently) and one that will also, hopefully, pave the way for even more projects to be released after. We have listed everything we know so far that is coming out, but it’s possible some other stuff may get announced later, especially on the publishing front. Live-Action Star Wars Series Coming in 2025 Skeleton Crew The last two episodes of the new Star Wars series Skeleton Crew will stream this month. The series, inspired by The Goonies and other 1980s Amblin films, focuses on a group of kids who get lost in outer space after finding a wrecked spaceship on their remote planet. In their adventures trying to get back home, they run...

The Bad Batch To Make Surprise Return in Upcoming Novel ‘Star Wars: Sanctuary’

Christmas has come early in the form of a surprise new Star Wars book announcement. According to an updated listing from Penguin Random House UK, the Bad Batch will be getting their own novel titled Star Wars: Sanctuary. Authored by Lamar Giles (From a Certain Point of View), the book will be released on August 5, 2025. What makes this particular listing interesting is that it appears to be the only such one, at the time of writing, that has been updated past its codename placeholder of “Tanner” or “Untitled Star Wars August Novel.” Therefore, while this is an official listing, we recommend keeping expectations relatively in check until more is revealed. Typically, once these listings appear online, an announcement is imminent so expect it by the end of the year or in early January. In ...

‘Skeleton Crew’ Showrunners Praise Lucasfilm

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew showrunners Jon Watts and Christopher Ford have revealed that they were having constant “pinch me, I must be dreaming” moments while making their story in the galaxy far, far away. Talking with ComicBook.com – a representative of whom just saw the first three episodes of the series and interview about them – the Skeleton Crew showrunners were asked about if they had any moments where they felt like they were in a dream instead of being on the set of the galaxy far, far away. They explained that it was hard to pin down a single moment because there were just so many, but they particularly appreciated meeting longtime Lucasfilm creatives: Watts: It’s weird, because that would happen all the time.Ford: Like, constantly!Watts: It’s one of those things where when you...
