The Man Who Built Mt Wilson: George Ellery Hale's Astronomical Legacy

George Ellery Hale was a visionary who changed astronomy through technological advancements, strategic partnerships, and a desire to provide scientists with the best possible equipment. Hale helped create Mt Wilson, a telescope site in Southern California that sparked an astronomy boom in the area. The Active Galactic crew visited these historic telescopes and talked about Hale’s lasting legacy with some experts at Mt Wilson and Carnegie Observatories.
