NASA Warns About An Approaching Asteroid

Asteroid 2008 GO20 is headed towards the Earth at a speed of over 8 kilometers per second which is around 28,800 km/hour. 2008 GO20 is about 220 meters in diameter. On July 24, it is set to fly past the Earth at a distance of 4.7 million kilometers.

NASA has flagged it as a Potentially Hazardous Object due to its massive size and fly by distance. NASA also added, there is no need to worry about it, as it won’t come any closer than 4.1 million km.
