First go to the NVO compute services site at http://us-vo.org/nesssi
Click on "Click here to try Nesssi" (1)
If you do not have a login (2) then register at the NVO login service. You will need a valid email address, a confirmation token will be sent there, and you use it to complete the process.
You will get directed to the Nesssi services page with the paleolithic burial chamber top-left, and your username should be displayed (3).
Now click on the DPOSS mosaic service (4).
Fill in the sky position of the center, and the width in degrees that you would like (5). The resolution will be one arc-second per pixel. It will take a few minutes to reproject and mosaic an area half a degree on a side.
Click "Submit" (6) and watch for a red flag that says "Loading" at the top right of the window.
You can then click "Monitor" to see the progress of the job. There is a URL that shows the files being accumulated in a special sandbox area for the job (7), click on that to see what has been made. There is also a queue status line (8) which shows that the job is running by the "R" at the end of the line.
Finally, a file will appear in the sandbox called "mosaic.fits" (9). In this case it is 169 megabytes. You can download it from the URL.
